deconstruction

i am thinking about reconstructing my mother's face...on top of the fierce and angry stare i think i'll put deep dark laughing eyes...where her lips draw together in tense condemnation i'll paint luscious red full lips open in hopeful anticipation... where harsh words slip out i'll try on love....have you ever made those picture things where one person draws something and folds it over then another draws and folds until finally you open all the folds and have a conglomerate of all the secret impressions drawn on there...so it is with my  mother...folded over impressions some so lovely and some so harrowing...  how do i resolve that drawing swish water over it to combine all those folded thoughts so they come together in the photo i have of her laughing and staring straight into the camera...  lace bodice and black skirt...beauty beyond what i ever saw of her
